New: Inventory recommendations report API

You can now request an Inventory recommendations report by API. The report returns near term demand forecasts and OLQ inventory signals so you can plan replenishment without signing in to Seller Center.

What’s changed

  • New report type INVENTORY_RECOMMENDATIONS available via POST /v3/reports/reportRequests.
  • CSV output with SKU, Item ID, GTIN, Product Name, Product Category, OLQ Inventory Score, and 14, 30, 45, 60 day forecasts.
  • Sample responses for create request, status, and download.

Why it matters

  • Removes a manual step for API first sellers and brings inventory guidance into your workflow.
  • Helps reduce stockouts and improve availability by planning against short horizon forecasts.
  • Improves OLQ outcomes by focusing on items with low inventory signals.

Next steps

  • Update your integration to request the report:
    POST /v3/reports/reportRequests?reportType=INVENTORY_RECOMMENDATIONS&reportVersion=v1
  • Store the returned requestId, poll GET /v3/reports/reportRequests/{requestId}, then download when ready with GET /v3/reports/downloadReport?requestId={requestId}.
  • Set up Report status notifications to avoid polling, and consider using Report scheduler for recurring jobs.
  • Refer to the API guide for headers, responses, rate limits, and CSV columns.
