Simplified WFS item setup process
We’re excited to share some updates to the Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) item setup process! These changes are designed to streamline submissions, reduce complexity of item setup, making it easier for sellers to manage their items. Here’s what’s new:
Key highlights
- Streamlined attribute requirements: Sellers now only need to provide the Product ID GTIN and dimension attributes for
each
to successfully submit an item. This replaces the previous requirement of providing matching values for Product ID GTIN, Orderable GTIN, and Each GTIN fields. - Bulk item setup: For bulk item submissions, the SKU in the Orderable section needs to match the SKU in the TradeItem section. If there’s a mismatch, an error will be displayed, ensuring accuracy before submission.
- Additionally, for non-GTIN Product IDs, the system will continue to convert them into GTINs upon item submission. Add a line to talk about the Custom GTINs.
Removed attributes
With this new release, the following attributes have been removed from the item specification:
- Each GTIN
- Case GTIN and dimension attributes
- Inner Pack GTIN and dimension attributes
- Pallet GTIN and dimension attributes
- Orderable GTIN
Scope of changes
These changes apply to:
- New WFS item setup
- WFS convert
