Create account level settings

Overview

The Create account level settings API lets you establish account level calendar configuration for your shipping operations.

Endpoint

POST https://marketplace.walmartapis.com/v3/settings/shipping/account

Function

This API helps you:

  • Define whether weekends are working days.
  • Add specific non-working days (holidays or blackout dates).
  • Control transit time calculations for carrier weekend schedules.
  • Establish baseline shipping calendar logic for your account.

These settings influence delivery promise calculations, order processing timelines, and shipping cutoff logic across all fulfillment centers.

Modify your code

1. Add authentication

Include a valid access token:

--header 'Authorization: Bearer <ACCESS_TOKEN>'

If your integration requires additional headers (consumer ID, correlation ID, or any other Walmart headers), include them accordingly.

2. Validate date format and override rules

Ensure:

  • Dates follow the YYYY-MM-DD format
  • actionType is valid (add only for create scenario)
  • No duplicate dates are included
  • Dates are logically valid

Result

  • Account level shipping calendar configuration has been successfully created.
  • Saturday is marked as a working day.
  • Sunday is marked as a non-working day.
  • Two additional non-working dates have been added:
    • 2030-03-10
    • 2030-04-10

These settings now impact:

  • Transit time calculations
  • Order processing windows
  • Delivery promise estimates
  • Carrier weekend logic
